The Carlton Club (Pemberton, Wigan)

The Carlton Club was at The Halfway House, Ormskirk Road, Pemberton, Lancashire and opened on Friday, November 4, 1960.

The building later reverted to its original use as a picture house and after being divided became the Unit Four cinema. It then closed in the late 90s/2000s.

Carlton was also called The Sportsman’s . Met my wife indirectly via that venue by way of meeting her friend n eventually meeting Ann the following week . John Martin Sound was a regular,great club.
