  The New Continental Club

The New Continental Club was in Harter Street, Manchester and opened in 1967. It was affectionately known as The New Conti.

The New Continental Club was opened when the old Continental Club in Oxford Street, Manchester was demolished.

Both of the clubs had been popular with nurses and thus was popular with men. It closed in 2001.

There's no way The New Conti opened in 1967, more like 1977.
I went to both, but as I was about 16 or 17 when I first went to the Old Conti and was born in 1955 that means I visited the old one in about 1971/1972.
I then went to Uni in London in 1973 and it was definitely a few years later that I heard about the New Conti
