The Thatched House, Market Street

We used to meet at the Thatched House in 66/67 - a Boddies house just round the corner from the Top of the Town directly behind The Guardian offices if I remember ... when Boddies was real beer. Had a football table that I played and lost on, on many, many occasions.The landlord used to sit at a table near the front door with his bulldog hard to tell them apart. It was a big and shoddy beer house but popular with us underage mods of the day.
