There were more night clubs in Manchester than London.

The 1960's Manchester Club scene will never be replicated.
It was safe, great atmosphere and highly entertaining. 
It was a time when people were treated as humans.... and not just an open wallet.

Fabulous times. We danced til we dropped. Hardly ever drank much as we were skint and only went for the great music. We were always home before midnight - I think these clubs all shut at ten thirty or 11. Melanie Mainds (as I was then).
