The Royal Oak (Alderley Edge)

The Royal Oak was visited by some great names from the 60s. The Merseybeats, Hermans Hermits, The Ivy League, the Hollies - you name them, they all came to watch the "Harbour Lights".

When this line up ended in 1968, sometime later we formed a band with Eric Haydock (ex Hollies) on bass, Rick Rothwell (ex Mindbenders) on drums, me on rhythm guitar & Peter Baldwin on lead.

Brian Higham, Harbor Lights, who were resident at the Royal Oak on a Sat, Sun, Mon from 1961- 1967
