After going to "Rhodes" sweet shop opposite on Taylors Rd. for Pop or Sweets...From 1969<>'72ish... ...I/we went to St. Peter's Youth Club, which was a "Hall" 'tagged-on" sort of structure with a stage, etc....adjacent to St. Peter's Church. {Also housed 1st. Gorse Hill, St. Peter's Brownies in the 60s and 70s.}
ALL now bulldozed & GONE, replaced by Housing.
It was a great place for me/us, - mostly born Baby Boomers (born early to mid-1950s). We actually 'listened' to RECORDS and DANCED..... Table Tennis and Snooker were available and 'the lads' often played Football.
- the majority of Clubbers will now be OAPs !! LOL. x
