Barbara did many shows for TV with Morcambe and Wise, Des O’Connor, Ken Dodd and and has worked some fantastic venues - from the London Palladium to the Lake Side and topped the bill at many, many more.

She has also appeared at the South and North piers in Blackpool and worked with many of the great bands.

She also was a regular for working various radio shows with the NDO.

The picture in the gallery was taken in my office at Talk of the North, Eccles and shows Barbara with Matt Munro, Tom Jones, Joe Pullen and Mike Newman. She is still a great friend of Tom Jones and flew over to Las Vegas to meet up with him. She has recently appeared on the Ken Dodd Show.

I thought she was a wonderful entertainer. Where is she playing now. Is the NDO still around? I had the son of the leading lady singer and father band leader, lead singer and guitarist in one of the last groups that i managed. He went by the name Steve Beavers, good friend to the Who. Any body remember "The Riff" band. Or the "engine" Blues group. Where are you now? I left to Canada. 16th April 1967 for 3 months to manage a 9 piece Blues band in Toronto and i am still here. I was at the John and Yoko "bed in " give piece a chance at the Windsor Arms Toronto. John signed a $2 bill which i still have and cherish 2 much information. Peace and Luv.

Definitely not too much information.  I'm betting you have some great stories to tell and I for one would love to hear them.

I think there are/were TWO ‘Barbara Laws’. The one who moved to Toronto years ago is not the same Barbara Law who was a cabaret singer and TV personality from Warrington who sadly passed away 2-3 years ago.

The late Barbara Law is the great British singer for many decades appeared in the BBC-ITV Shows alongside Eric Morecambe & Ernie Wise,Wheeltappers & Shunters Social Club as the cabaret singer and I watched it on Talking Pictures TV now and she sang the old tunes are great.

The Great Cabaret Singer icon is the late Barbara Law and the legend lives on.
