Stolen from Ivor (Market Centre)
Was Ivors Boutique (later Stolen from Ivors?) at All Saints in a really small shop opposite where Pauldens was - downstairs? They also had a shop in the indoor market near Dolcis (where I worked for a time).

Hi - I'm Ivor of Stolen from Ivor. I never had a shop in allsaints opp. Pauldens. I do still have STOLEN FROM IVOR in Stockport on Princess St. My son SAM has Stolen from Ivor in Huddersfield on New St.

He wanted an immediate test drive in the Monza which had only been delivered a few hours before. It had not even had it's PDI [pre-delivery inspection] to check it was safe for the road.
So, I put on the trade plates and off we went! He drove the car at breakneck speed all the way to his house near Manchester airport in rush hour traffic! Knowing the car could seize up at any moment I curled up in the passenger seat and just prayed!
Fortunately, I managed to get the car back in one piece to the showroom and sold it a few days later to a local businessman. Ivor still owes me a new pair of trousers!
