Worked with Austin and Alan on the gas board and knew them well as both groups . Used to help Austin's dad to load gear and help set up in the early days. later followed them until life changed and I moved down south. . kept in touch via Austin's dad well into the seventies/eighties. A great period of time to live through. The Manchester scene was vibrant and great.
