The Avengers

The band were originally formed back in 1991 under the name The Bit in The Middle, playing the pub circuit.

Soon after they had quickly established themselves as THE best 60s band in the North of England and were soon touring all over the UK and European club circuit.

In 1990 the original line up was three brothers Steve, Mike and James and throughout the years various lead guitarists have come and gone but the band seemed to be looking for that special one.

In Chris Williams they found it.

hris hails from Mossley (in the sItcks) and has spent most of his life playing in various bands from 50s tribute shows to leading Elvis impersonators playing 2000 seater venues and Blackpool Winter Gardens. His knowledge of the lead guitar is unquestionable and his playing is second to none.

Steve is not new to the business as he had prior to this been busy touring Bahrain/Dubai with the Bootleg Beatles and Phil Cool in a 60s covers band named The Coyotees which also supported such acts as Showwaddywaddy Gerry and the Pacemakers to name but a few.

Mike and James had been doing studio session work for years and had established themselves as two of the best musicians around.

The set consists of 2x 45 mins (plus) sets with music ranging from The Hollies to Van Morrison (see set list) with four part harmonies (yes a singing drummer!) and authentic sound and 60s image they are a must to see.

Some of you are already aware of the bands capabilities and we thank you for your patronage over the past years.

However, we would like fill our diary still further and you will be pleased to know we have invested in a smaller show P.A. that enables us to be more in line with the budgets allowed by some smaller venues.

The Avengers are available at prices starting from 450-600 (locally within Greater Manchester).
This price will give you an excellent evenings entertainment using a 1000-watt compact P.A. system and basic lighting.

For larger venues we are available complete with 2K rig full light show and 24 channel desk and sound engineer prices vary here depending on the usual factors
